To make it, you will need 1/3 cup aloe vera gel, 1/2 cup distilled water, 2 tablespoons almond oil, 1 teaspoon borax powder, 3 teaspoons liquid lanolin, 15 drops of peppermint essential oil, 3 teaspoons grated beeswax and 1/3 cup coconut oil.
In a small saucepan, boil distilled water. Once the water starts boiling, add borax powder to it and lower the flame. Allow the mixture to simmer till the borax powder is fully dissolved in water. This will take 2-3 minutes. In another saucepan, mix liquid lanolin, coconut oil, almond oil and beeswax together. Place the saucepan on medium flame and heat till all the ingredients are fully mixed.
Once this is done, add the ingredients in the second saucepan to the distilled water mixture. Stir this mixture continuously till it reaches room temperature. After this, add peppermint essential oil, followed by the aloe vera gel. Whisk these ingredients properly and store this in a plastic bottle or glass jar. After using the shaving gel, do not forget to place it in a cold and dry place.
